Customer service is everything.
I know what your thinking. Really? Customer service? Who cares about customer service? The answer to that my friends is, you will (eventually). I know you are not looking to make friends with your hosting company, just keep reading.
The number one thing that I will look for in a hosting company is the customer service. If I can’t get someone on the phone within a reasonable time frame I will walk away. Run a test before you pick a hosting company. See how long it takes to get someone on the other end of the phone, and I’m not talking about the sales line either, I’m talking about the technical support line. If there happens to be a problem and your website goes down or your email service isn’t working, nothing can be more annoying than playing email tag or opening support tickets with your hosing provider. There is not a hosting company on the web that will guarantee 100% uptime, so it’s possible you may run into a problem sometime. The problem is we are all human and generally don’t think stuff like support is very important, especially if you have to pay a little extra for it. But when your e-commerce website won’t load up on someone’s browser, generally they will leave your site never to return. And we all know how hard it can be to get traffic. What really hurts is when you paid for that traffic.
Let’s get a host that will actually be on the other end of the support line. $10 off Fat Cow Hosting
