Why I use Yahoo Mail plus for my business

I have recently discovered yet another reason to use Yahoo Mail as your main business e-mail client. Just the other day I was searching through old e-mails looking for some information and I discovered that my old e-mails were no longer on the Yahoo servers. I know this happens from time to time and can happen to anyone.

As soon as I found this out I got nervous and immediately looked for help from Yahoo. I guess I have gotten lazy over the last few years and just leave valuable information such as passwords and usernames and other things right on the servers. I have since been more careful to save important information to my own computer.

I immediately started an online chat with a Yahoo customer service representative. After about 10 minutes they told me there was already an open ticket dealing with this issue and that the e-mail should not be lost and that they were having server trouble. So I just left it alone and was prepared to keep looking to see if I could figure out what was going on.

Low and behold about an hour had passed and I decided to try searching again and all of my old e-mails were right there. Now I’m not saying Yahoo is the only company that will do this but from what I’ve heard it’s almost impossible to get any help out of Google’s Gmail. Also, depending on the hosting company, I have heard plenty of horror stories about hosted email.

In order to get customer service help you do need to be a member of Yahoo Mail plus which costs around $20 per year. In my opinion that is a very small price to pay especially when I decided I was going to use Yahoo as my main business e-mail client. All-in-all for the help I received from Yahoo, I’m very glad I chose to go with them. That $20 a year is a bargain in my opinion.

Like I have written about previously, I feel that Yahoo Mail is the most reliable email client on the internet. This incident proves my theory even more.

See below for the exact chat I had with Yahoo. I only left out my personal login information.
